Why the Super Eagles of Nigeria Concealed 100 Goals Against India National Team By Nwoko Solomon Ikechukwu

There are stories, better still, legends or myths that have become very popular today, that so many people have believed and accepted them as history or true life story. Some of these stories have lingered and survived centuries. This may be because of the fact that they are passed from generation to generation. The old passed them to the young and the young passed them to their younger generation. And at a point, they cease from being superstitious stories, legends or myths, but as part of history and culture.

One of these stories which has lingered for long now, is the story on how the Super Eagles of Nigeria concealed one hundred (100) goals from India National Team, which led to the bound of India National Team from FIFA World Cups. When I was a little boy, I was told that at a certain FIFA football match in a certain year, all unknown, the Super Eagles of Nigeria was to play against India National Team. During this unknown year, Nigeria was feared for the skillful goal keeper they had, who was by name, Peter Rufai. With him before the goal post, ball hardly enters into the goal post. Knowing this skillful keeper to encounter, India National Team resolved to go diabolical or esoterical. Either with the act of prestidigitation or hypnotism, they made Peter Rufai, the Super Eagles then goal keeper to see ball as the head of a hungry, angry and violent lion in a speedious move to devour. So that, Peter Rufai runs away from the goal post each time ball was coming to the goal post, instead of going after the ball and catching it. This made even the ball with the smallest speed that a child can catch to enter into the back of the net. To justify this unbelievable winning against the Super Eagles, they were at the end allowed to score one (1) goal against India National Team; so that, the score became Nigeria 1, India 100. After the football match, FIFA wondered what happened, how a well known skillful goal keeper like Peter Rufai could allow his team conceive such number of goals. This made them to do some research and they discovered through the help of camera what Rufai saw the ball to be- a fierce head of hungry and angry lion coming with great speed to devour its victim or prey. And as a result of that, FIFA bound India from FIFA World Cup.

As a little boy, I lacked the knowledge and the resources to make or carry out research to find out myself if this hard to believe story was true. Later, when I acquire the knowledge and resources on how to do research, especially, with/in internet, I have google it and wikipedia it, but have not seen any information about the story or one that looks like it, or even relates to it. I resolved to forget about the story, but only to hear a grown up man telling the same story the other day, and concluded by saying, "This story never happened, it is not true", he said and laughed. I joined in the laughter, not because the story was new, believable or interesting to me anymore, but because I wondered how people can make up stories that can cut across nations and centuries. I may however, be wrong to believe that this story is not real, but I will not believe that I am not wrong either, until one shows me link or links with video coverage where I can read and watch the reality of this myth, legend or tale myself. So if you can, please inform me.

COVID-19, a Means of Exploitation by Nigerian Politicians

This young man who is probably a  pastor has vomited his heart on the happenings in Nigeria, especially, over the issue of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.  He condemned the Nigerian politicians whom he accused have turned COVID-19 into a business venture. He pointed out that it took Nigeria Independent Electoral Commission (INEC)  many months to distribute voters card to Nigerians, but they have claimed to have distributed millions of nairas to Nigerians within few days. He asked how possible is that. He also asked who among Nigerians did they distribute the money to, and confessed that the said money did not reach him. He asked Nigerians who among them received the money, of course, I did not receive the money myself, not yet.

What we must do for Nigeria now, by Nwoko Solomon Ikechukwu

What Nigeria as a nation needs now is prayer for Divine intervention. A lot has happened in the nation and a lot is still happening. The kind of prayer that Nigeria needs is the sincere kind of prayer that saved her from  falling, dividing and that aid the preservation of many lives and properties which would have been destroyed during or after 2015 general election. The atmosphere was full of fear, lives were seriously in danger and tensions were very high. However, the sincere prayer of the righteous, made  God to disapoint Satan, those planing the fall or division of Nigeria and those armed and ready to destroy the lives and properties of Nigerians, especially, the weak and the poor. It has come again the atmosphere of fear, lives are in danger, the atmosphere highly tensed up, therefore, another since prayer for God's intervention is seriously needed. The Bible said that, "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the

NIGERIA MUST BEWARE OF THIS

Irrespective of the political and other leadership corruption in Nigeria, Nigeria has strived in the area of morals and some level of the fear of God. This can be seen in her effort to reject gay marriage or relationships (homosexuality and lesbianism) and rejection of the motion to scrap out religious studies in the educational system of Nigeria. Before now, natural and manmade disasters were stories and strange phenomena in Nigeria. Though there was the presence of robbery or armed robbery, theft, money laundry, kidnapping, and ritual; but terrorist attacks and bomb explosions were not common in Nigeria before now. Today, bomb explosions, terrorist attacks, murder, and a high rate of kidnapping have become the order of the day. Flood is becoming common in Nigeria; a good number of different kinds of deadly and contagious diseases often hit Nigeria claiming lives and properties. Suffering, poverty, and chronic hunger that face Nigerians on a daily basis have been blamed on recession
